About Nemun Ring
Nemun Ring (Lithuanian: Nemuno žiedas, the "Nemunas Ring") is the only specialised motor racing circuit in Lithuania, located near Kaunas in the central part of the country. The original layout opened in 1960 — making it one of the oldest permanent racing circuits in the former Soviet bloc — and was completely rebuilt and asphalted in 1987, then further modernised in 2003. The current main loop measures approximately 3.4 km (with alternative shorter configurations available), and the technical mix of corners has made the Nemun Ring a favourite for car and motorcycle clubs from across the Baltics. The circuit hosts the Lithuanian national championships, frequent trackdays and rider training events.
