About Autodromo di Modena
Autodromo di Modena is a 2.007 km, 11-corner motor racing circuit at Marzaglia just outside Modena in Emilia-Romagna — the heart of Italy's "Motor Valley". The circuit was built in 2011 and received both FMI (motorcycle) and ACI (car) homologation, filling a decades-long motorsport gap in the city: the original Aerautodromo di Modena had been dismantled in the 1960s, leaving the home of Ferrari, Maserati, Lamborghini, Ducati, Pagani and De Tomaso without a dedicated test circuit. The 12 m wide ribbon features uphill and downhill sections interspersed with long ~400 m straights, asphalt run-off areas and gravel traps designed specifically for high-speed development work. A 2014 modification added a final chicane with extended run-off and a tighter radius. Although primarily a private testing venue used by the surrounding Motor Valley manufacturers (most famously by Maserati during the 2021 MC20 development programme to refine the Nettuno V6 engine), the Autodromo di Modena also hosts weekend club racing rounds for both car and motorcycle championships and is a popular trackday venue for Emilia-Romagna riders.
