🇩🇪Racepark Meppen

Racepark Meppen (also Circuit Meppen) is a 2.3 km motor racing circuit at Meppen-Hüntel in the Emsland region of Lower Saxony, Germany, near the Dutch border — around 180 km south-west of Hamburg. The track sits on the grounds of the decommissioned Kraftwerk Meppen-Hüntel power station: Dutch entrepreneur Hennie van der Most purchased 60 hectares of the closed power-plant site in 2004 (four years after its 2000 closure) and developed it into a motorsport park. The first event ran on 18 June 2016 and the circuit has been a busy fixture of the German/Dutch border-region scene ever since. The compact 2.3 km layout can be run in both clockwise and counter-clockwise directions, emphasising technical complexity with multiple tight hairpins, second-gear corners, technical chicanes and short high-speed sections. The facility was developed primarily to serve club racing, motorcycle training, driving instruction and automotive testing, and is heavily used by Dutch motorcycle trackday operators and rider training schools given its proximity to the border.
