About Circuit des Ecuyers

Circuit des Écuyers is a 3.5 km, 17-corner motor racing circuit at Beuvardes near Château-Thierry in the Aisne department of northern France — just 90 minutes by car from Paris and within easy reach of the Belgian border. The circuit opened in 2007 on the substantial grounds of a private equestrian estate (hence the name "Écuyers", French for "horsemen"). The full layout uses the natural topography of a rolling Champagne hillside to create a mini-rollercoaster ride: corners range from fast flowing sweepers to slow hairpins, chicanes and parabolas, with significant positive and negative gradient changes and a 500 m main straight. The majority of corners are taken in third gear, but with several quick fourth-gear corners and straights to build speed in between. The 3.5 km asphalt track is FFSA- and FFM-homologated and designed specifically for both cars and motorcycles, with a permanent trackday operation that draws riders from Paris, northern France, Belgium and the Netherlands.
