About Chang International Circuit
Chang International Circuit (officially Buriram International Circuit) is a 4.554 km, 12-turn (7 right / 5 left) motor racing circuit in Buriram, north-east Thailand. Designed by Hermann Tilke, construction began in 2013 and the circuit was officially opened on 4 October 2014 with a round of the Japanese Super GT championship. In September 2017 Dorna Sports announced that the MotoGP Thailand Grand Prix (the PTT Thailand Grand Prix) would join the calendar from 2018; Marc Márquez (Honda) won the inaugural 2018 Thai MotoGP. Featuring long high-speed straights and a stadium-section run of slow, technical corners, Chang International Circuit remains a fixture of the MotoGP calendar and one of the most popular trackday venues in South-East Asia.
