About Balaton Park Circuit

Balaton Park Circuit is a 4.115 km, 17-turn (10 left / 7 right) motor racing circuit near Balatonfőkajár, on the southern shore of Lake Balaton, around 85 km south-west of Budapest, Hungary. The main phase of construction began in 2019 and the circuit was officially opened in May 2023. In September 2023 it was confirmed that Balaton Park would join the Superbike World Championship calendar in 2024 and serve as a reserve venue for MotoGP — and from the 2025 season Balaton Park has hosted the Hungarian motorcycle Grand Prix, marking the return of MotoGP to Hungary after 33 years away. The varied 12–15 m wide layout features fast direction changes and a long main straight, and the circuit is rapidly establishing itself as one of central Europe's leading trackday and racing venues.
