About A1 Motor Park

A1 Motor Park is a 3.910 km, 15-turn motor racing circuit in Samokov, around 60 km south-east of Sofia, Bulgaria — the first FIA-homologated permanent racing circuit ever built in Bulgaria and the most advanced motorsport facility in the Balkans. Originally announced as Lara Racing Circuit, construction began in March 2025 with private financing, and Bulgarian telecommunications operator A1 Bulgaria signed on as title sponsor in December 2025. The circuit was officially opened on 21 March 2026, with Bulgarian Formula 2 driver Nikola Tsolov the first to complete laps in a Dallara GP2/11. A1 Motor Park holds FIA Grade 3 homologation (suitable for everything up to Formula 3) and FIM Category B (all motorcycle disciplines except MotoGP), positioning it as a major new destination for Eastern European trackdays and club championships.
