Mertens Riding School is a Belgian motorcycle "centre de pilotage" running riding-skills training at the Circuit Jules Tacheny in Mettet and at the legendary Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps. The programme is tiered by rider type rather than generic skill level: a dedicated module for "motards routiers" (road riders) with no circuit experience that introduces the basics of riding on a closed circuit; a perfectionnement module covering anticipation, body position, mobility on the bike, and braking configurations for riders looking to improve their rhythm while maintaining safety margins; and an "hyper-sportif" module aimed at riders prioritising performance, where every technique of competition riding is on the curriculum. The signature offering "XP Speed" — open from age 16 — is the school's flagship intensive format.
