About Klever Motorrad Club
Klever Motorrad Club e.V. 1976 (KMC 1976) is a German motorcycle hobby club based in Kleve am Niederrhein, founded in 1976 — some of the founding members are still active today. The club has about 60 members. The annual programme is club-style rather than commercial: a Sicherheitstraining at season start, a Thursday-to-Sunday Fronleichnam (Corpus Christi) tour through the Alps, the Eifel, the Rhön or the Schwarzwald, the Motorradwallfahrt in Kevelaer, and — the entry on this platform — a rented day at the TT Circuit Assen for "schnelle Runden unter Gleichgesinnten, keine Rennen!" (fast laps among like-minded riders, not racing). KMC has been making the trip to Assen for 30 years. The annual membership fee is €48, with bi-weekly Friday club nights at the "Elefantenstübchen" Gaststätte in Kleve. For Lower-Rhine-area riders wanting to join a long-established local club rather than book commercial trackdays, KMC is the local option.
