The complex combines several distinct circuits: an outer oval used for car racing, an inner kart-and-circuit course used for motorcycle training, a separate skidpad and a model car racing facility. The motorcycle layout features many short corners and tight chicanes designed specifically for teaching circuit-riding basics, motorcycle control and supermoto technique. The asphalt was completely renewed in the late 2010s and the resulting grip makes Midland Circuit a popular destination for novice and intermediate motorcycle riders, supermoto schools and rider training providers. The circuit is centrally located in the Netherlands, with good motorway access, and remains by some distance the most-used motorcycle training and beginner trackday venue in the country — particularly favoured for the safe, controlled environment it provides for riders progressing from road to circuit.
